Bring your class, school or pre-school to our annual Christmas tradition - Santa stars in his very own stage show!
Kelly and Alana are best friends. However Kelly has sent the longest list of things that a child wants for Christmas that Santa has ever seen. Santa flies Kelly to the North Pole so she can learn for herself, the true meaning of Christmas. The Santa Claus Show returns to provide magic and meaning to this special time of the year.
“Too busy shopping to get into the Christmas spirit? Catching ‘The Santa Claus Show’, a magical story of how a little girl learns the pleasure of giving, could be the answer.”

During the preparation of this monograph in 2007 the authors were located in the School for Visual and Creative Arts in Education. In 2008 this school and the School of Languages, Literacies and Communication joined to form a new
School of Arts, Languages and Literacies at the University of Auckland. Drama New Zealand welcomes the debate raised in these articles by supporters and friends of the association.

IDEA secretary, Cathy Kariuki writes, what are your plans concerning the IDEA day on 27 November?
World Drama/Theatre & Education Day 2008 BVDS (IDEA Germany) is to start a campaign for 'IDEA day' (November, 27th), a "call for theatre action" ("5 min. before 12 for arts education!"), to every school theatre group in (New Zealand!!) and Germany to make a short theatre activity and place a picture or video fragment on IDEA’s website. FDEA (IDEA Finland ) will be asking people to ring alarm bells and mobile phones for art education at 11 o'clock on IDEA Day and to organise small performances in schools and streets. Would you like to join in? All interested should contact Cathy Kariuki : kathy_wanji@yahoo.com.
